On 26 February 2024, the Philippine Department of Energy (DOE) launched two (2) Pre-Determined Areas (PDAs) for the development and production of petroleum in areas with confirmed resources within the Northwest Palawan and Southern Cebu basins and two e (2) PDAs for native hydrogen exploration for offer to interested applicants.
