DOE Commits to Uphold Consumers' Power of Choice

The Department of Energy today said its mandate is to implement the law and consumers should have the freedom of choice as to which power provider they prefer to deal with. 

The DOE reiterated its mandate after the Supreme Court issued a Temporary Restraining Order against the implementation of the Retail Competition and Open Access (RCOA), a key provision of Republic Act 9136 or the Electric Power Industry Reform Act of 2001 or EPIRA.

DOE Moves To Ensure Viability Of E-Vehicle Charging Stations

(Taguig City). Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi underscored on Tuesday the need to ensure the viability and safety of e-vehicle charging stations in gasoline stations.

DOE Consultations Show Wide Support For WESM Mindanao Establishment (Feb. 20)

Given the excess in power generation capacity in Mindanao, preparatory activities for the launch of the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM) in Mindanao are being undertaken by the Department of Energy (DOE).
