OVERVIEW
Summit Objectives
The 2008 Philippine Energy Summit aims to present the President’s
current Strategic Directions for the Energy Sector in the immediate,
short-, medium- and long-term. It serves as a listening and
hearing venue for varying perspectives, issues and concerns
with respect to oil price spike and its impact on the economy
particularly the vulnerable sectors. The Summit also faces
the challenges of addressing the problem and arriving at consensus
on the set of recommendations and action plans with specific
timelines.
