Major Accomplishments for 2005

In support of the development program of the Arroyo Administration, a reform package plan was formulated to include the implementation of an energy sector agenda based on energy independence and power market reforms. The agenda on energy independence will serve as catalyst for the country's economic growth and development. This will be attained through the development of indigenous energy resource that will generate savings in fuel oil displacement. On the other hand, implementation of power market reforms will promote competitiveness and efficiency in the power sector that will eventually benefit all sectors of society.
